Metalpress 700 EVO: Industrial production at extremely high specific pressure, without interruptions.
For large companies that won’t compromise on productivity.
The Metalpress 700 EVO briquetting machine is designed for large industrial companies with high-volume machining lines that require a machine capable of handling continuous, sustained briquette production with the highest specific compaction quality available in its class.
This model is available in a version with a Ø 60 mm briquette for better compression quality, or in a Ø 70 mm version for maximum hourly output.
System rated pressure 300 bar: no limits, just performance
The version with 60 mm diameter briquettes delivers the best quality in the specific pressing process, producing briquettes with higher density, the highest possible coolant recovery rate, and greater commercial value with improved yield at the foundry.
Oversized hydraulic cylinder with two coaxial sections for compaction: performance and speed matter
To achieve maximum specific pressure on the briquette and maximum feed rate while optimizing production.
Automatic briquette length adjustment using position transducers: no setup downtime
Thanks to an algorithm built into the program, the machine is able—after ejecting the first briquette—to self-adjust to achieve the length set on the operator panel. This operation is always performed by the machine, and if the briquette’s length varies due to differences in size or type, the algorithm automatically adjusts to maintain the set length. As a result, there are no machine stoppages for continuous adjustments, ensuring stable and programmable production output.
New Oil Cooling System with Continuous Off-Line Filtration: Guaranteed Continuous Operation
The new oil cooling system consists of an air/oil heat exchanger, a filter, and a self-contained motor-pump unit. It is designed to ensure continuous oil purification by maintaining the oil at an optimal temperature, preventing overheating, reducing component wear, and consequently minimizing long-term maintenance and machine downtime.
Remote Assistance Form: Support When You Need It
The remote support module allows you to connect remotely to the briquette machine to run diagnostics and provide updates.
The Siemens HMI Panel: The Control System an Industrial Plant Expects
The multilingual Siemens HMI panel allows the operator to modify operating parameters using custom recipes, monitor diagnostics in real time, view production status, and automatically track maintenance schedules.
Excellent design for integration into our centralized systems
The Metalpress 700 EVO is designed to integrate with COMAFER’s automated centralized systems, featuring the IL 500P conveyor belt for chip loading and the IL30 conveyor belt for briquette unloading.
Standard Components and Features
The Metalpress 700 EVO is equipped with a base that doubles as an oil reservoir, a gearmotor for the agitator, a hydraulic cylinder for the ram, a hydraulic cylinder for the two-section coaxial compactor, automatic briquette length adjustment with position transducers, inductive proximity sensors, a high-efficiency hydraulic system with a cast iron pump, a nominal system pressure of 300 bar, an oil cooling system with continuous off-line filtration, a briquette ejection system with a partition equipped with a hydraulic cylinder, an electrical control panel with a Siemens PLC-HMI and a remote assistance module. Measuring 1400 × 2000 × 1790 mm and weighing 1850 kg, it can be easily installed even in non-dedicated spaces. The total installed power is 18 kW.
Compatible materials
Aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, cast iron, copper, brass, bronze, nickel, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. For non-standard materials, free sample testing is available at COMAFER’s R&D department.
Measurable operational benefits
Briquetting with the Metalpress 700 EVO reduces volume by up to 90%, recycling costs by 70%, and handling costs by 80%. The briquettes offer 50% higher commercial value than loose chips and 90% higher yield in the smelting process. With 300-bar compression, which ensures up to 90% recovery of expensive coolant—allowing it to be recirculated into the machine tool and eliminating waste— along with automatic adjustment of briquette length to eliminate setup downtime when processing mixed chip types, and the HMI operator panel to keep everything under control, the annual savings on disposal and transportation costs are measurable and substantial.
