Advantages of burning wood briquettes
... considerable ecological saving!
They boast an exceptional heat capacity (an average yield of 4,000/4,500 kcal, with a performance above 80%), as they retain heat for longer keeping the temperature inside the boiler firebox high.
Owing to their physiological properties, they produce little smoke; thanks to their high density and low percentage of humidity (less compared to the wood to be burned), they burn slower and almost entirely with a very limited post-combustion residue, resulting in cleaner boilers.
Due to their very low porosity, the embers produced during combustion are denser compared to those produced through normal combustion of wood or by non-pressed biomass.
