The Grinders
Industrial Grinders
What are industrial grinders
The Dinamic series grinders are single-shaft machines with hydraulically operated pusher drawer and tool-carrying rotor driven by belt gearmotor, designed to grind wood waste from carpentry shops, pallets, MDF panels, paper, corrugated cardboard from industries, reducing the volume into a homogeneous size ready to be briquetted.
The ground waste can be aspirated into pneumatic collection systems and sent directly to the briquetting machine, or deposited in containers for subsequent processing.
Integrating a grinder into the production cycle of your plant means taking a further concrete step towards the circular economy, fully valorizing production waste that due to size and shape would not otherwise be compatible with the compaction cycle. Raw waste becomes ground material, ground material becomes fuel briquette, raw material or product to resell.
From hopper to ground material
How the Dinamic series grinders transform waste into homogeneous ground material in 3 phases
01
Feeding
A hopper conveys the material to the pusher drawer operated by the hydraulic cylinder towards the rotor.
02
Shredding
The tool-carrying rotor operated by the gearmotor causes its shredding
03
Discharge
A perforated grid determines the size of the ground material which, through the suction nozzle, is aspirated
Why grind industrial waste?
Every year companies lose significant resources in the management of production waste.
COMAFER briquetting machines transform this cost into concrete value, measurable in six key areas:
Volume
Ground wood waste occupies much less volume and once briquetted makes work environments much more organized and efficient, organizing spaces and reducing labor
Transport costs
Ground and briquetted wood waste improves the handling and management process, optimizing operator time and reducing internal and external transport costs
Recycling costs
Ground wood waste optimizes briquette production with all the resulting benefits

FAQ
Dinamic Grinder FAQ
Do I always need to use a grinder before briquetting?
Not always. For chips and powders of sizes already compatible with the briquetting machine hopper (typically those derived from CNC mechanical processing, carpentry shops with suction systems, etc.) the grinder is not necessary. However, it becomes essential for bulky waste such as pallets, cardboard, panels or materials with irregular size that could not be compacted directly.
Is the ground material produced directly suitable for briquetting?
Yes. The grinder is equipped with a perforated grid that determines the size of the output ground material: only material of the correct granulometry is sent to the briquetting machine or suction system. The result is a homogeneous ground material that optimizes compaction quality.
Can the grinder be connected directly to the briquetting machine?
Yes. Through the suction nozzle, the ground material can be conveyed directly to the briquetting machine via pneumatic system. COMAFER can design the complete plant solution upon request.
Is it possible to test my material before purchase?
Absolutely yes. The COMAFER internal R&D laboratory performs grinding and briquetting tests on material samples sent by the customer, at no additional cost. Contact us for more information.

What concrete advantages does a grinder offer?
The main advantages are three:
- Wood waste offers a significant volume reduction once briquetted, making work environments more organized and efficient, optimizing spaces and reducing labor.
- Wood waste improves the handling and management process of the material to be briquetted, reducing internal and external transport costs, including the use of forklifts and operator time dedicated to waste collection.
- Wood waste optimizes briquette production with a reduction in recycling costs of up to 70%.
How often does a COMAFER grinder require maintenance?
The catalog does not specify maintenance intervals for the grinder, but COMAFER offers scheduled maintenance contracts to prevent the occurrence of problems and malfunctions, minimizing time and costs associated with repairing damage caused by any failures and achieving better overall operating efficiency.
